Draft for Natasha’s review. Check the Google Analytics details below once her own Google Analytics property is set up.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, like analytics cookies, help the site’s owner understand how it is used.

Your choice

When you first visit, you can accept or reject analytics cookies. Both buttons are equally easy to use. Analytics cookies stay off unless you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page.

What Google Analytics does with your information

If you accept, Google Analytics collects information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser. We use it only to understand and improve the site. Google acts for us in processing this and is based in the United States. [Natasha to confirm the data retention period set in Google Analytics]

Google Analytics only loads after you accept. If you reject, or change your mind later, it is not loaded and its cookies are removed.

Other things that are not cookies

Our web host (GitHub) and Google Fonts receive your IP address when your browser loads pages and fonts. See our privacy notice for how we handle personal information.
